Hub Labels Recognized as Maryland Employer of the Year for Apprenticeship Excellence

Hagerstown, MD – November 2024 – Hub Labels is proud to announce its recognition as Employer of the Year during the 2024 Maryland Apprenticeship Awards. This prestigious honor, presented as part of Governor Wes Moore’s celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, underscores Hub Labels’ commitment to workforce development and creating impactful career pathways in manufacturing.

The awards ceremony also marked the launch of the Governor’s Apprenticeship Pledge, an initiative to recruit 500 new employers and 5,000 apprentices into registered programs by next year. Hub Labels is proud to contribute to this vision, offering innovative training programs that help prepare individuals for rewarding careers while supporting Maryland’s economy.

Since 2021, Hub Labels has partnered with the Maryland Department of Labor and Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) to provide registered apprenticeship programs. These programs offer students hands-on training, mentorship, and valuable experience in manufacturing. Several program graduates have already transitioned into full-time positions at Hub Labels, demonstrating the effectiveness of this approach in building a skilled workforce.
